As if life wasn't getting complicated enough, she finds that her beloved lead detective and mentor retires, mysteriously making way for Rachel's first love, Hal, to step in as her new boss. Confidence, sarcasm and wit have always been in her corner, even amidst the most trying of circumstances...

But that all changes when Rachel decides to wipe the dust from the top of a cold case box. Her curiosity causes a sequence of unbelievable events that leave her an emotional wreck and those surrounding her are left to question her sanity.
