The author invites us to think of new ways of relating socially and economically, where the focus is on our ties and the essential place of the territory. How can we explain that the growth economy has become a power that is determined to destroy life instead of sustaining it? How have we come to produce a world whose driving force is the hunger of the Earth and of human beings? Can we think of truly sustainable alternatives to reorganize society? This is the objective of this book: the search for new ways of relating to others, to ourselves and to the Earth. Lina Alvarez uses the genealogical method, adopts a decolonial perspective and analyzes the discourses of physiocracy - a French school of political philosophy from the 18th century - and the thoughts of the Earth, establishing a dialogue between them. This allows her, on the one hand, to uncover the power devices that determine the configuration of the colonial-modern-capitalist order; and on the other hand, to make visible alternative routes to organize production, consumption and political decision-making in society, based on cosmocentric criteria of justice. These alternatives could open the way to the structuring of societies around care, regeneration and reciprocity with our territories, and thus, with our bodies and with our common home which is the Earth.
