It attempts to aquaint students with the methodology of science and the seeks to facilitate an appreciation of some of the findings of modern cosmology. Topics include: the importance of science and religion, achievements and limitations of the methods of science, the method of religion, the birth of modern cosmology, modern scholarship of the Book of Genesis, the stars as instruments of creation, the anthropic universe and the resurrection. The book includes over 200 power point presentations divided into chapters corrresponding to the chapters in the book which can be used by both teacher and or student either in class or by themselves. The author, Fr Terry Kelly, SJ, trained in physics and religious studies, has been teaching in Jesuit High Schools for over 30 years.
