Recent Advances in Implant Dentistry

Dental implants refer to the surgical components which interface with the bone of the skull or jaw in order to support a dental prosthesis. Dental implants function through a biological process known as osseointegration, wherein certain substances such as Titanium, form a bond with the bone. The success of implant dentistry procedures depend on various factors, like the drugs used to assist in osseointegration, health of the person and the health of the tissues present in the mouth.
