The religious altar and the film screen appear as cousins. Religion and film both recreate the known world and then present that alternative vision to their audience. Religion and Film explores the connection of these two worlds and how they mutually affect each other. The hypothesis is that by paying attention to the way films are constructed, we can shed light on the way religions are constructed, and vice versa.
