Remembering Ann Through Her Rhythm and Rhyme

This book was created to show Ann M. Lilley's talent for writing. As her sister, I wanted to take this opportunity to showcase Ann's work. Chores the farmer and his lazy dog Snores became the topic that I think brought Ann the most pleasure when it came to writing. Chores and Snores will entertain readers with several children's short stories along with many poems for all ages. They include such topics as the seasons, holidays, fishing, fruit and vegetable tales, and enjoyable visits from wildlife at the farm. For all ages there are poems about cats, seasonal beauty, wildlife, road construction, holidays, special memories, the circus, Wisconsin, school, special people, the Peanuts gang, and America. There's easygoing poetry for children about clowns, silly critters, and teddy bears. Also for children are a couple of short stories, one about a fly and the other about a four-leaf clover.
