The main objective of the present studies is to remove Copper (II) from synthetic waste water using natural adsorbents like Ficus Bengalensis (Banyan tree) bark powder and Cinnamomum camphora (Camphor tree) seeds powder. Removal of Copper (II) from synthetic waste water is studied under different parameters like Initial concentration, pH, Contact time, Adsorbent dosage and Temperature .Long-term exposure to copper can cause irritation of the nose, mouth and eyes and it causes headaches, stomachaches, dizziness, vomiting and diarrhea. Intentionally high uptakes of copper may cause liver and kidney damage and even death. Whether copper is carcinogenic has not been determined yet. The effect of various parameters like pH, adsorbent dose, initial concentrations of copper ion, contact time and temperature were studied. A comparison of the percentage removal of these adsorbent materials were done to determine which adsorbent material is more suitable for removal of copper present in prepared synthetic samples.
