Responding to Violence

This book contains thoughtful practice-based written by therapists and community workers about ways of responding to violence. The papers in the first section of the book focus on ways of working with those who have experienced child sexual abuse, while the papers in the second section focus on violence in intimate relationships. The third section describes ways of working with men and young men who have enacted violence. Complex issues are considered such as the question of forgiveness; ways of acknowledging and responding to women's outrage; the experience of men who have been subjected to child sexual abuse; and matters of culture and sexuality.
