Her best friend slowly dying from an incurable disease, her mother eating herself to death, then her overbearing sister trying to manipulate her heritage for her own ends, Sioned is challenged from all sides. At Edith's funeral the devastated husband tries to drink himself into oblivion, hallucinating in his near breakdown with devastating and far-reaching repercussions. Sioned at last rebels, rising above her trials and tribulations and finding salvation from an unlikely quarter. About the Author A lover of hills and wild places, the author's interests are close to the natural world, in particular trees and animals. She has bred, trained and shown dogs, and loves horses, favouring Welsh cobs with feathered hooves. Through painting and poetry she depicts beauty of life in all its guises.
