Return to Evergreen

Christopher would come to learn the answers to these, and many more questions, when he ventures with the tree through a magical, secret portal. In fact, there are many interdimensional lands connected by the secret doors, and in Book II, Christopher and his friend Tom return to find out that some of the lands are strange-and not very friendly. The elves of Evergreen have been kidnapped through a magic door into a land of no sound, and in setting off to rescue them they discover a place more dangerous than they had imagined.
