Rhys

Rhys Selkirk was born in 1784 into a family legacy that he refused to believe was his destiny. Collin has been his best friend since boyhood and they've endlessly dreamed of better, brighter lives outside the small village. So, when Rhys' father tells him he must marry a local girl and continue the bloodline, the boys choose to run away, rather than be trapped. Now, the young men face the challenges of a harsh, unforgiving city that gives a kind welcome to no one. While Glasgow offers the company of women, overflowing glasses of ale and ample opportunities, Rhys and Collin have no money in their pockets or employable skills. The reality of their situation becomes the choice between empty bellies and sleeping on the streets or returning to their parents with heads hung low.

That is until they cross paths with a vampire and everything changes. They believe they'll enjoy an eternity of sex, power and youthful good looks. However, it's not long before their dream becomes a nightmare as their eternity quickly evolves into one drenched with blood, servitude and hopelessness.
