Saint Peter

Saint Peter is one of the most prominent figures in Christianity, being one of the Twelve Apostles and a leader of the early Church. He appears in all four New Testament gospels as well as Acts of the Apostles. According to traditional Christian teachings, Saint Peter died under Emperor Nero's rule by crucifixion in Rome. Many ancient churches venerate him as a major saint and founder of both the Church at Antioch and Rome, with Jesus promising him a special position within His church.
