This book seeks to show all women, whether cis or trans, how to recognize the various forms of chauvinism and oppression perpetuated over the years by a paternalistic society that seeks in every way to erase the importance of the female social role, especially that of black women.
To create this book, the author, sociologist and Umbanda priestess, Mãe Flavia Pinto, revisited authors from African matriarchal communities to the present day in the West to discuss, in a simple and direct way, the micro-male-chauvinisms to which all women are subjected on a daily basis and to teach them how to identify, avoid and, above all, combat them.
Based on the author's sensitively constructed historical and sociological analyses - which are based on her activist practices in the fields of human rights, black feminism and religious intolerance, as well as her life experiences - potentially transformative proposals are presented for all women who are violated on a daily basis, and most of whom don't even realize it.
It is essential that women begin a process of interrupting these cycles of violence imposed and normalized by the current economic, political and social systems, and that they reclaim their matriarchal role and sacred female ancestry. Fighting the daily chauvinism that crosses and destroys generations is a task for everyone.
For the rescue of the stolen matriarchy! For women's lives! Let's all be buffalo women!
