Scientific Principles of Drying Technologies

Drying is among the most commonly used, complex, important and energy-consuming processes. For use in industry and agriculture it is unrealistic and uneconomical to have thousands of diverse products. Therefore, standard driers, which are efficient for a large group of materials are being designed and used. Classification of wet materials into three groups has been proposed by A.V. Luikov: capillary-porous, colloidal, and colloidal capillary-porous. The authors of this title are concerned with examining the scientific principles of designing highly efficient standard driers. The book will be of interest to both academic and industrial readers.
