Plautus was a playwright in ancient Rome whose comedies are still performed today. This edition, edited and annotated by Abraham John Valpy, was commissioned by the Christianissimus Rex (Most Christian King) for Prince Delphini. It includes many of Plautus' most famous works, such as the Menaechmi, which inspired Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.
