Seek & Hide

We have all played the game "Hide & Seek" when we were younger, but do we realize that it is also the game we still play every day? Ever since the Fall, all of humanity has been caught up in seeking things we think will satisfy us, things that will make us feel or appear to have it all together. All the while, we hide from others those things of which we are ashamed and anything that might make us look foolish. A fortunate few will realize we've had it wrong all along. Only when we come to understand that Christ alone is the source of our every earthly need can we truly seek Him and hide in His presence.

This truth is one that we need to remind ourselves of daily if we really want to discover the abundant life that believers seem to endlessly pursue and rarely attain. Seek & Hide will help us learn to identify and strip away from our lives those things that the world deems important so we can better focus our hearts and minds on what it really means to abide in Christ, the sole fulfillment of all we will ever need.
