In addition to a career as a psychologist, Paul Meehl has contributed to philosophical literature with his analytical papers on such topics as the mind-body problem, freedom and determinism, psychoanalytical explanation, theory appraisal, moral aspects of insanity and the law, psychoanalytical explanation, theory appraisal, moral aspects of insanity and the law, precognitive telepathy and other methodological matters.
