Send For Dr Morelle

The case of Mrs Lorrimer promised to be one of Doctor Morelle's most mysterious problems. She had telephoned begging him to attend her immediately, claiming her life was in imminent danger. Three attempts had already been made to murder her that same day - Her drink had been posined, a deadly snake hidden in her bed, and poison gas was being introduced into her room!
But was she really in danger? Was she simply mad - or pretending to be mad? Either way, Doctor Morelle felt compelled to investigate, so he set off to the woman's house, accompanied, as ever, by his assistant Miss Frayle. And it wasn't long before she was bitterly wishig she had stayed behind...
