Shades of Silence: In between Appearance and Reality

This narrative attempts at charting the readers' thoughts through the mundane and mysterious contemplations on the everyday experiences and the feelings of young people growing up in India. The aspirations, yearnings and frustrations of the young find an expression in the prose and illustrations, as if the passage of life was being observed from the side lines. An attempt is made to create a singular expression of ideas and emotions, where the paint and the pen mix to create a stream of consciousness that can exist detached in the space of our mind.

The contributors view this print as a space where they have felt the freedom to express what was entrenched in their hearts: their myriad experiences, sometimes sad, sometimes confusing, sometimes joyful in their simplicity, if the mind is brought to a standstill and made to introspect.
