Shakescenes

Four short plays drawing on Shakespeare's works and our modern-day use of them.

• In 'Twenty-Minute Tragedy', minor cast members take over a production of Timon of Athens and lead it in a new direction.
• 'Sprite Fight' takes place backstage at a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, in the aftermath of a confrontation among the sprites.
• In 'A Shakespearean Fragment', a shady fixer is trying to negotiate the sale of a fragment of something that was once precious to The Bard.
• 'Loosely Titus' presents Titus Andronicus as a game show, with '33 onstage deaths, three hands cut off, and a really interesting cooking lesson.'

The plays work together to make a fascinating evening of theatre, or can be performed separately in programs with other plays.
