They say everyone has skeletons in their closet. Mine just happen to involve an ancient relic, a family legacy I didn't sign up for, and a shadowy stranger with more secrets than I can count. Hi, I'm Emily, and until a week ago, my biggest problem was whether I could afford rent. Now? I'm knee-deep in cryptic maps, cursed objects, and a destiny I didn't ask for. Oh, and let's not forget Silas Kane-dark, brooding, and about as trustworthy as a snake in a suit. He claims he's here to help, but the way he moves, the way he looks at me?
