Isabella grew up in the Australian outback in a constant state of fear, desperately afraid of the mother who controlled her. At fifteen, she left Australia for an American university on a tennis and academic scholarship. While she majored in speech pathology, her heart lay in gymnastics, and she remained unsure where life would lead her. As she traverses an on-off relationship with her university boyfriend and wrestles with complicated friendships and unexpected heartbreaks, Isabella must decide who she is and how she wants to spend her life. With dreams of coaching a gymnastics team to the Olympics, and finding a love deserving of her, Isabella faces a difficult decision: remain in America, where she found solace and family, or follow her heart toward unknown but potentially greater things.
