Sing, Lost Soul

Sing, Lost Soul is a celebration, a commemoration, an observance, an ode. Textured by time and toned by the world, this collection lauds life in both its profundity and simplicity. There is familiarity when reading Coppock's poems--a sense of experience, or at least a sense of perceiving experience. Like a dream, you slip in easily, remain awhile, and upon waking, the realization dawns: ""I've been there before,"" or, ""I felt that once, long ago."" Weaving words to nurture and name the sensibilities of a soul is a poet's gift to the world. Sing, Lost Soul is such a gift. Karl Coppock grew up in Duluth, Minnesota. He loves language, travel, the outdoors, and the occasional soccer match. He has lived in several locations, including Chicago and Santa Barbara, but he likes his current home in Portland, Oregon, the best--though he's always up for an adventure with his wife and friend, Abby.
