As a child with little hope for any meaningful improvement, Nicolas is institutionalized at eight years of age. There he languishes for a dozen years, further stifled by the facilities "warehouse" mentality. However, approaching twenty years of age everything is about to change for Nicolas. An unexpected catalyst is about to enter his life in the form of a young nursing student, named Kelli. She stumbles upon his unique affinity for music, giving her a chance to penetrate his autistic isolation and unlock his extraordinary hidden potential.
