Sofya's Locket

Maria and her mother lived in an apartment in Brooklyn. Their world was turned upside down when Clara, Maria's mother, became involved with two Russian girls who needed help getting away from the Russkaya Mafiya. That meeting led to Clara's murder as well as the two girls she wanted to help. The FBI became involved and were curious about a locket one of the girl's had given Clara to keep safe for her. The locket began its mystical journey in St Petersburg, Russia in 1904 when the Czar's wife gave birth for the last time. The czar's daughter, Olga took a picture of her father and mother and the twin boys that were just born. She placed the picture in a locket. The czar and his wife gave one of the babies and the locket to Sofya to hide and care for until the threat from the Soviets was over. They knew their lives were in mortal danger. We follow the trail of the locket from Russia to Denmark; back to Russia and then The United States. Romance and mystery follow and lead to a fascinating tale.
