Seattle's autumn storms come earlier than usual, and Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Debra Stone, anticipates an increase in Seasonal Affective Disorder. What she doesnt expect is the murder of her newest client.
Debra meets Mary Davis in a battered womens shelter and is relieved when her client divorces her sadistic husband. Then Marys body is discovered at the bottom of a muddy ravine. From that day forward, Debra's peaceful existence is shattered. While her anxiety grows from whispered phone calls and break-ins, a vivid memory of childhood trauma surfaces.
