Why do all the crucial pivotal moments in life seem to happen in an instant and with no warning? At least that's been the case in my life.

Cross Roads, VA, was home. And I hadn't been there in many years. A small town that is nothing more than a map dot most people drive by on their way to somewhere else. A tragedy that upended my life sent me fleeing from there as soon as I was able. It was not a sweet parting. What would my reception be when I returned?

But Leigh never gave up on me, so for her, I will go back. I will face everyone I've been running from. Everyone I pushed away. My family, my friends...Jack.
