Soy un Superheroe Autista / I am an Autistic Superhero

Jose is a boy with autism. He enjoys playing with toys like any other child, but certain superheroes are his favorite. Can you guess which ones? He also has many other favorite things to do and will take you on a journey of his life! Unfortunately, most people do not fully understand autism. So many different things come with autism, and someone that does not interact much with individuals with autism may not fully understand them well. This illustrated children's book helps teach and tell these things with simple wording while understanding Jose's likes and dislikes, including what has helped Jose and his parents over the years. In addition, it allows other children to learn about autism and their behavior.

People with autism are often misunderstood. The focus of this book is to provide information to children and families about the characteristics of autism and how behavior can be different than normal behavior. For example, even though Jose likes to entertain with toys and keep himself busy, he may not always have the same awareness or ability to express himself. Yet, Jose is a loving child that wants to play and grow like any other, and through his story, we hope to help educate the world about autism and be more aware.

Jos es un nio con autismo. l disfruta entretenerse con juguetes como cualquier otro nio, pero ciertos superhroes son sus favoritos.   Puedes adivinar cules son? El tambin tiene otras cosas favoritas por hacer y te llevar a un viaje de su vida! Desafortunadamente, la mayora de la gente no entienden completamente autismo.  Muchas cosas diferentes vienen con el autismo, y alguien que no interacta mucho con individuos con autismo puede que no los entiendan bien. Este libro ilustrado ensea y dice estas cosas con palabras simples mientras entendemos los gustos y disgustos de Jos, incluyendo lo que les ha ayudado a sus padres a travs de los aos. Adems, permite que otros nios aprendan sobre el autismo y su comportamiento.

Las personas con autismo a menudo son mal interpretadas. El enfoque de este libro es de proveer informacin a nios y familias acerca de las caractersticas de autismo y cmo el comportamiento puede ser diferente de un comportamiento normal. Por ejemplo, aunque a Jos le gusta entretenerse con juguetes y mantenerse ocupado, l no siempre tiene conciencia o habilidad para expresarse el mismo. Sin embargo, Jos es un nio amoroso que quiere jugar y crecer como cualquier otro, y a travs de su historia, esperamos ayudar a educar al mundo acerca del autismo y tener mayor conciencia.
