What do pineapples, sunflowers, star fish, pinecones, snails, pedals on many flowers, a nautilus shell, and the family tree of honeybees all have in common? All of these things, as well as others, possess a mysterious numerical pattern known as the Fibonacci Sequence. Even bones in the human hand and the shape of an ear follow this numerical pattern. An ordered system of numbers permeates and is embedded in the universe.

In fact if there is no order with numbers, no times, dates, or years our society would descend into chaos. The number system is inherent to our understanding of the world around us and structure of existence.

This book will journey beneath the surface to examine what is behind the world of numbers. Seeking out matters of truth is important as we all have a finite time on this earth and we don't know when it will end. For many, life is much shorter than anticipated. Like the writer of Ecclesiastes 9:12 says, Moreover, no man knows when his hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so men are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.

Yet life is often approached too casually with little or no thought that our time here could end suddenly and unexpectedly. It is prudent to heed the words of Scripture as recorded in Psalm 90:12, Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
