Sports Economics: Present and Future Impact on General Economics

The increasing importance of sports economics in academic research might be related to the growing importance of sport in daily life; researchers are starting to use sport as a test bed and sports policies as natural experiments to deliver insights into human behaviour that could well be relevant for general labour markets, industrial economics and regional economics.
