Starting Gratiot County With Perry Payne or Nettie Comstock

Gratiot County sits in the middle of Michigan's lower peninsula. Settlement began in the middle of the 1800's. With the first settlers came children. This book focuses on two children, Perry Payne and Nettie Comstock, who were among those first settlers. It tells the story of their pioneer times while asking readers to make some of the same decisions the real children and their families faced.
