Stay Awake

Marissa Elle Evans was like any other normal child in the respect that she only wanted to be looked after, be allowed to live her childhood, play until her heart's content, dream like a normal child and above all: be loved like any other normal child.

Marissa's story is different; she didn't wait until her mature years to write about abuse at the hands of her father, decades earlier: she is still a teenager at the time of this publication. Remarkably, Marissa recorded her very own diaries of her abuse at a very young age. Some of her diary entries are written in its original form through the eyes of a very small child.

Marissa Elle Evans has one aim with her first-ever publication and that is to help other young people cope and deal with abuse and as the title suggests: inform others to Stay Awake.
