STRETCH MARKS is for all of the mothers/guardians who lost themselves and are on the journey to finding themselves again; it is for the mothers/guardians and mothers/guardians-to-be who think they have to give up their goals and dreams for the betterment of their child(ren); it is for the womyn who think they are in this thing alone, and it is for the womyn who work their asses off to be everything for their child(ren) but most importantly for themselves.

STRETCH MARKS is an anthology that captures the humanity of pregnancy and oncoming of motherhood/guardianship. Through heightened prose, Vanessa Spence (author) opens the conversation on motherhood/parenthood to include the taboo topics of generational trauma, regret, shame, depression, imposter syndrome, blame, and self-doubt.
