Stubby and Rusty

Stubby is a true story of a pelican that was caught in a discarded mess of fishing lines and hooks in the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Stubby was rescued by Rusty, a longtime native of Pass-a-Grille, an island community where he managed a fish bait shop. Doctors at the nearby Seabird Hospital were able to save Stubbys life, but the happy, interesting twist in the story comes after Stubby was released. It is a story of kindness and mindfulness, and respect for nature and our environment. And what good things can happen from the good things we do!
