So far, this volume is my favorite. I love the new characters and the new settings, past and present. This volume is definitely the turning point. So many unanswered questions such as: Will Summer Ray make it in time? Will she choose the right one to stand by? Who does her heart's desire really turn out to be? Will they find Anthony? What does Charleston, South Carolina have to do with the story now? Who are Corine and the Matron Laurise? Why does Anastasia, an abolitionist own slaves? As the clock is ticking and for a selected few, time is running out. Some of these questions must be answered as the characters are now racing against time. If you have followed along with our journey of Summer Ray, you surely know by now that the "Summer Ray - Series" is not just another Civil War story, but it truly is an epic adventure. "The Journey Home?" Well, we are almost there, but first things indeed still need to be first.
