Summer Sorcery

When a statue unexpectedly comes alive and foists magical abilities on them, Nyree Forester and her younger brother Elias are thrust into a world of sorcery and faeries. The children find their new powers both amazing and terrifying. Nyree can weave spells of wonder and beauty so long as she doesn't get distracted. Elias gains incredible strength and agility - if only he could stop turning bright blue.

They must learn how to handle their new skills, fend off the attentions of competing faery courts, get used to living among a cast of mythological beings, discover more about their enemy, and hopefully avoid getting grounded for staying out after bedtime.
