I sink my feet in cool waters
healing neglected wounds
as I call out

to all the places I call home
to predictable routines
and the warmth of the sun on my skin
to the sounds and conversations my ears have taken in
to the beauty He has graciously sprinkled all around me
to all the unfamiliar particles I have breathed in

all reminding me of something familiar
