Surviving the Journey

The loss of a loved one is a different travel for everyone. It is an important journey to travel in order to heal. The current death is not the only one you grieveall the past losses seem to come up again. No one can do it for you, and you cant bypass it.

Surviving the Journey is the story Shirley needed to write when her husband, Rich, passed away after several years of battling testicular cancer, which had spread to his lungs, abdominal cavity, and brain. Shirley was a winner of the Muncie Chapter of the National League of American Pen Women Award 2010 with this story.
