Sweet Baby James

My husband and I wanted a family from the day we got married. After a couple of years of marriage, we tried to have children of our own. Soon, we were seeking the help of multiple fertility doctors trying to figure out why we were unsuccessful. Even they were unable to help us achieve our goal.


Through this difficult journey, we constantly reminded ourselves that we were chosen to take this path for a reason. Failure after failure made us begin to discuss adoption. We were very scared of the unknown, but it was evident that God was guiding us and James' birth mother together.


This story was written after a very early 3 a.m. bottle feeding. Something urged me to sit down and the words ended up on the paper. It was obvious that someone else was assisting. God wanted me to share this story and I'm hoping that it will touch the lives of people that can relate.


I always questioned, "Why couldn't God just send us a memo?" He didn't send us the memo to tell us the journey, but He certainly flowed through my pen to let us know what had happened. This miracle child was in the works from day one and the challenging path to get there was also part of His plan.


I hope this story touches your heart. If you are wanting children and you have a nudging inside, do not give up on your journey. That nudging is a child waiting to enter the world in His time.
