One teenager's struggle for peace unexpectedly opens the door to a higher calling. Penny feels invisible in her own home--so she hides away, only to encounter a presence that changes everything: a radiant figure who reveals she is meant for more than she ever dreamed. Gifted with a sword only she can weild, Penny is given newfound ability to see beyond the physical world which reveals terryifying creatures and mysterious allies. Not everyone who offers help is a friend, and Penny learns that she must rely heavily on this mysterious figure and the gifts he has to offer her.
