Tamil Ithazhkal, 1915-1966

This is a book that records the history of Tamil journalism, from Swadesamithiran to Dinamani. In 1933, at the age of sixteen, R.A. Padmanabhan entered the world of Tamil journalism through Ananda Vikatan. He worked in magazines like Jayabharathi (1936 - 37), Hanuman (1937), Hindustan (1938), Tinamani Kadir (1965 - 66). As a researcher, he studied Tamil magazines and also experienced firsthand the development of Tamil journalism. In that sense, this book is an accomplished record of events and information. The book also contains important news about Swarajya, Tamil Nadu, India, Hindustan, and other such defunct magazines.
