Everything was unraveling.

It only took a day for eighteen-year-old Alyson Gale to lose everything. Her home. Her family. Her future. A single moment of pain and release, a single moment of answers that spawned more questions. A father she believed dead, a mother who was not the woman who raised her, and an ability she never expected.  An ability that might end the war between shifters if it doesn’t kill her first.

All she has left of her old life is Noah, a genetically engineered shapeshifter, her best friend and boyfriend. Except she can’t be sure he didn’t shift his brain, implanting false memories and trigger words; a secret mission hidden beneath the need to be her friend. The seed of doubt is beginning to bloom and Aly is doing her best to ignore it. To do otherwise would mean she might have to face a truth she’s not ready for.

Unaware their friends, Del and Grace, have also been dragged into the shifter war and are now in danger too, Aly and Noah attempt to untangle the truth from the lies.
