Doves Fawn and Indigo long for a family.

They plead to God in prayer.

A thunderstorm soon rolls through the park where they live with 

other colorful birds.

Each family of birds takes turns Thanking God for protection through the storm.

Thankful Nests is an adoption story that is more true-to-life than the author 

could find to read to her children. The "storm" represents the chaos of the foster care system and all the trauma her children endured before arriving at their Home Sweet Home.
