The Accident

The Brothers series revolves around the romance between Kevin and Samantha Grayson, their family and friends. Kevin is a special agent for the Bureau of Drug Enforcement; Samantha a computer programmer under the supervision of the Secret Service. The Accident is the fifth book in the series and begins with the car accident involving Kevin's high school friend, Jimmy Bauer. Jimmy's wife and older son are both killed in the accident, his younger son, unscathed and Jimmy is left partially paralyzed. Kevin goes undercover to find the person who caused the accident, leaving Samantha to care for Jimmy and his six-year-old son.
