The Actuality of the Reality of the Immateriality

One write a book like this in order to influence the future. I’m hoping to stimulate many Christian psychiatrists to practice more fully and effectively, and to better inform patients in choosing psychiatrists who can take into account their Christian faith and use it for the greatest possible healing and growth. A particular motive that I have from a psychiatric point-of-view is the Christians have been under-represented and under-served within the profession of organized psychiatry. I want to stimulate a demand among all those that have an interest in remedying this unfortunate3, not to say bizarre situation, that Christian psychiatry have its legitimate place as a part of the greater professional institution even within the American Psychiatric Association. Get together and make a place for psychiatry practiced for believers, and by believers, in the light of the Bible. May it please the Lord to look favorable on our hopes!
