The Addict

In Choices, Lorraine Miller shares her story and that of her son as he struggled in his teenage years with drug addiction. His addiction grew, affecting their family and the relationship between mother and son. Lorraine fought with him to bring her son back to her and free him from drugs. Finally, after an all-out war against the Addict who had possessed her son, Lorraine had to make hard decisions to save her son’s life. Now, Lorraine shares what brought her to make these choices and what they meant to her. She wants to share her story with others struggling with their children’s addictions, so they know they are not alone and can find inspiration. She has learned there comes a time to stop being a mother or father and become a parent, to do what needs to be done, even if it affects the relationship with your child.
