The Art of Robert-Ralph Carmichael

A visual and descriptive journey through the life and art of Robert-Ralph Carmichael, a noted Canadian painter as well as the designer of the iconic Canadian $1 coin - "The Loonie". (A detailed overview is provided on the author's website www.karltuira.com).

150 of his surreal, landscape, and still life paintings, as well as his drawings and coins, have been placed within the perspective of the chronology of his life and the influences on his art. A “catalogue raisonne” of Carmichael’s works is also included.

His artistic style is positioned by David Aurandt, a long-time friend and noted art scholar. The book itself has been designed by the accomplished designer, Rose Ellen Campbell, to showcase Carmichael's work to the utmost.

This is the first time that images of his works have been made available. Prior to this book, one could only admire his works at art galleries, art exhibitions and private collections.
