The Asylum of Apostles

Kate Alonso married a different man to the one she lived with. Arlo Alonso used to be a loving husband, but as his fame grew with the success of his books, Kate found herself feeling increasingly alienated from him. With his latest project being fuelled by a newfound fixation on religion, Kate is at the end of her rope - and becomes the prime suspect when Arlo is found murdered. Haunted and goaded by her dead husband, Kate is removed from custody and placed under the care of Doctor Lucy at Lupinus Lodge, a mental institution for the rich and famous. It is at the Lodge - her new home amongst the crazy and strange - that she learns her real purpose in life: to finish her husband's last book.
