The greater the submission and the obedience, the greater the authority. The greater the authority, the greater the demonstration of power.

Jesus is the Man of Authority! During His earthly ministry, as recorded throughout the Gospels, He demonstrated His authority over nature, sin, sickness, death, and evil powers. The level of authority Jesus had, and has, is incredible. So incredible, He never failed in seeing someone healed, delivered, or raised from the dead! So wondrous, He could command the wind, the waves, walk on water, and wither a tree with a word! And yet He promised to us, His followers, that greater things than those would be done by our hands (John 14:12). So why don't we see such things today? Why have Christians not been doing "greater works than these" on a mass scale? Jesus has already done all that needs to be done on His end!

Jeff Crawford is the apostolic leader of All Peoples Church in Lynchburg, Virginia and founder and president of All Peoples Ministries. He holds a Master of Arts in Theology and a Master of Divinity (M.Div) from Liberty University's John W. Rawlings School of Divinity.
