The Blizzard

In his youth, Mark Jaeger learns of the blizzard myth: a supernatural snowstorm which unpredictably occurs every few years, somewhere in the world, never in the same place twice, and somehow lures out the world's largest animals-trophies so huge they defy nature and imagination, so wily and cautious that these big-game animals never allow themselves to be seen by hunters ... except during the blizzard.

Mark Jaeger's quest for the blizzard secret takes him around the world, where he sees traces of the blizzard everywhere. Jaeger learns that the truth of the blizzard legend might be revealed in a lost manuscript, which has become the sacred quest of a small cadre of obsessed big-game trophy hunters.
